About Deborah
Deborah and Eric, her husband of 26+ years, have two grown children and a son-in-law and live in Canon City, Colorado. Together they own and operate an excavation company, and are the directors for P.E.A.R.L.S of Education Foundation. She is also the creator of Pearls of Promise Jewelry . Eric and Deborah are currently attending Living Stone Calvary Chapel in Canon City.
Deborah was 1994 Mrs. Colorado, 2004 Ms. United Nation U.S, and 2005 Ms. United Nation Intl. She is very active as a keynote speaker and vocalist at many events, was a worship leader for 3 years and is a recording artist with her first CD being titled “Reflections”. (**PLEASE PURCHASE ONE IN THE "ITEMS FOR SALE" PAGE**... all proceeds go to the Liberia School Project). In her community she is part of the worship team at her church, is the gown commentator for the annual Canon City Music and Blossom Festival Pageant, and is the stage production director for the annual Mrs. Colorado-America pageant.
Deborah and Eric support a Liberian African pastor and his family living as missionaries in Nigeria. She works alongside this couple’s vision to write and develop text books for the schools in Liberia with the mission to stop illiteracy, and bring the importance of education to a higher level for this country. Eric and Deborah recently purchased land in Liberia to build a permanent location for a school started by Andrew and his wife Gbolu. Deborah and Gbolu finished writing their first children's book titled A Girl Like Me in 2013. She and Eric had the opportunity to visit this family in Lagos, Nigeria in June of 2006, and in January of 2014 they visited the land of Monrovia, Liberia to see the future site of their school! What a life changing and blessed experience for them both!
